In the context of the “Militaries for Civil(Ian) Emergencies - M4CE Project”, FOGGS has interviewed key stakeholders, specialists, academics, and leaders to discuss the use of military assets in disaster management and response.

Mr Alfonso Lozano Basanta is the current Coordinator of the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) in the European Commission. He serves as Programme Officer in the development of the European Civil Protection Pool (ECPP) and as Deputy Team Leader of the ERCC Operations. In this capacity, Mr. Lozano Basanta is at the forefront of international emergency response coordination.
